Two Thanksgiving Dinner in One Day
Struggling with whether to go jogging or not in the early morning, I finally decided to sleep for a little bit longer. I arrived at Sharon's house at about 12:00 PM, and there went the first traditional Thanksgiving "dinner" in the States. Turkey, Stuffing, Yam, Cranberries, Squash and Pumpkin Pie served with cream...that's a complete Thanksgiving dinner and I had it twice today, with the second one with Greg's family, with whom I did a homestay when I just came.
I do not think that I can ever call this place home. Perhaps it is too early to say that since I have only been here for about two months. I doubt I would get any more excited, if I got to spend a Chinese New Year back home now. However, the life style here is something that I start to buy in. People live more healthier. You can tell that from the food they eat and from all the sports they do.
When I wake up the next morning, the whole world is crying...I mean...raining. The winter has finally came. I take it as a signal that, the painful life with the finals are to come. No matter how much I want the warm sunlight, it is gone anyways. However, I can still try to enjoy the sorrowness.
